FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State volleyball team is set for the Mountain West Tuesday Night Block Party with a match against San Jose State.
The Bulldogs will battle with the Spartans on Tuesday at 7 p.m. PT at Spartan Gym. The match will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network.
KEEP AN EYE ON 'EM
Two Bulldogs are close to major career milestones and are looking to secure them on Tuesday.
Reigning Mountain West Freshman of the Year Dionii Fraga has accumulated 449 digs in her sophomore season and is now only seven digs away from achieving the 1,000 mark in her career.
Junior Addison Haluska has 415 kills in 2024 and is looking to reach 1,000 in her career with only 12 left to go.
OPP AT THE NET
Addison Haluksa led the Bulldogs and the Mountain West with her offense this week, with 40 kills on the books against Colorado State and Wyoming.
In the Bulldogs' win over conference-leader Colorado State, the Addison had a .396 hitting percentage with 24 kills and an average of 6.00 kills per set.
This week she had a .253 hitting percentage with an average of 4.44 kills per set.
She also recorded 14 digs (1.56 digs per set) and three total blocks, one solo and two assists.
She led the Bulldogs in points scored this week as well with 43.0, averaging 4.78 points per set.
STUCK IN THE MIDDLE WITH KASEY
Fifth-year senior Kasey Purry celebrated her Senior Week with a 2-0 week with the Bulldog squad.
She totaled 13 blocks with 7 solo blocks and 6 block assists for an average of 1.44 blocks per set.
In addition, she also had 12 kills for the 'Dogs this week with a .226 hitting percentage and an average of 1.33 kills per set as a middle.
At the service line, Purry also had a pair of aces.
She scored 24.0 points for the Bulldogs, averaging 2.67 points per set.
