FRESNO, Calif.- The Fresno State swim and dive team are set for their second road contest of the season with a tri-meet against hosts CSU Bakersfield and Fresno Pacific at John S. Hillman Memorial Aquatic Center on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 12pm PT.

Both swimmers and divers will be competing in the meet at CSU Bakersfield

Fresno State is looking to secure their first dual meet win in Bakersfield since 2018

Bulldogs will have two more invitational before they return home to host Pepperdine in a two day meet beginning on Jan. 10 at the Fresno State Aquatics Center

SERIES HISTORY

Fresno State and CSU Bakersfield will be meeting for the twelfth time in program history. The Bulldogs lead the series 9-3 all time and possess a 3-3 record on the road against the Roadrunners. In their last meeting on Tuesday, Jan.16, Fresno State defeated CSUB at home, 173-122.

FRESHMAN BREEZE

True-freshman Sienna Cheng-Lucey is having herself a season. Nearing the half-way mark of the season, Cheng-Lucey is placing herself in the top five of the Mountain West performance list. Cheng-Lucey comes in at No. 5 in the 50 backstroke with a 25.98 and the 100 backstroke (55.48), both times achieved at Nevada this past month. In the 50 backstroke, Cheng-Lucey is one of two freshmen to sit in the top five in the 50 backstroke.

Fellow freshman, Ryley Clark also clocks in for a top ten rank at No. 6 in the 200 back with a time of 2:02.52, also achieved at Nevada.

Opponent Outlook

Chris Hansen is enters his 17th season as head coach of the Roadrunners

The Roadrunners are currently 0-1 in dual meets following their loss to Pacific on Nov. 2 at home

Last season, CSU Bakersfield finished fifth in the MPSF Conference Championships with 354 points

CSU Bakersfield is entering their first year in the Big West Conference

Jessica Franco is coming off a big dual meet where she claimed victories in the 1000 freestyle and more notably in the 200 freestyle where she posted a new personal best

Lorena Jerebic helped the Roadrunners gain a significant amount of points with her wins in the 100 and 200 fly.
