FLYING PAST THE FALCONS

On Oct. 24, Fresno State won its first conference match of the season in dominating fashion. The win meant that the Bulldogs' seven seniors would win the final home match of their career.

The Bulldogs had played in five of the last six tournaments.

KEEPING THINGS CLEAN

Heading into the season, a big question was who was going to replace Valentina Vivas who had been in goal for the Bulldogs since 2019. Central Michigan transfer Shivani Battaglia got the nod, and it paid off. The junior had two clean sheets and 19 saves through her first six matches.

On Aug. 17, Battaglia became the first Bulldog keeper to earn a shutout in their debut in a season opener since Kaity Revel on Aug. 31, 2007 (vs. UC Irvine, 3-0).

Battaglia added her third shutout of the season on Oct. 24. It is tied for the most shutouts by a Bulldog keeper in their first season with the program since Marie Berwinkel-Kottman in 2015.

PACING THE 'DOGS

With 16 points through 18 matches, junior Ciara Wilson has surpassed her point total from last season (14). The 16 points is tied for ninth-most in the Mountain West.

Wilson's five goals are tied for ninth-most in the MW while her six assists are tied for sixth.

Wilson is fifth in assists and ninth in goals in conference games.

MILLER MOVING UP THE RECORD BOOK

Kaelyn Miller scored the winner in Fresno State's 1-0 win at Oregon State. It was the 20th goal of the senior's career, and the ninth-most in program history, passing current Mexico National Team member Myra Delgadillo.

Miller has scored four more since, moving her into a tie for fifth with Nicole Gutierrez with 24. She is also seventh in career points with 55, one behind Gutierrez.

Miller has 10 game-winners in her career.

A DISTRIBUTOR

While she has scored a season-high six goals thus far, Ciara Wilson has been the Bulldogs best distributor in her career. With her fifth sixth of the season last week, Wilson has 13 in her career which moved her into sole possession of seventh in program history.
