QUICK LOOK
With a win over Hawai'i on Saturday, Fresno State will become bowl eligible for the fourth straight season.
Fresno State has an active bowl win streak of five games, the second longest active streak in the FBS.
Saturday is Native American Heritage Night at Valley Children's Stadium. The Fresno State football team will wear a special helmet decal to honor the Native American community.
Fresno State will play Hawai'i for the first time since 2022 this Saturday. It is also the first time since 2022 that the 'Dogs will host Hawai'i.
In the series that dates back to 1938, this is the first time Fresno State has back-to-back home games with Hawai'i since 1971 and 1973.
Similar to last week, Fresno State and Hawai'i have been in the same conference since 1992, since Fresno State joined the WAC, and they have played each other every year since. The 'Dogs own a 15-14 advantage during that time period, and it's in large part due to its 7-3 mark against UH since both schools joined the MW in 2012.
This could be the last time these teams meet as conference opponents with Fresno State moving to the Pac-12 and Hawai'i being a full-time member of the MW.
Although a long-lasting history between the programs, there is no official trophy between the teams.
The Bulldogs have only squared off versus two other teams more times than the Rainbow Warriors (San Jose State-87 & San Diego State-62).
Fresno State has won 18 of its last 22 home games.
Fresno State is just two wins away from 200 wins inside its home facility. The first game played at Valley Children's Stadium (formerly Bulldog Stadium) was in 1980.
Fresno State has sold out three of its four home games so far this season.
Fresno State senior cornerback Cam Lockridge was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week after a two interception night against San Jose State.
Lockridge has a league-leading five interceptions this year, and now has 14 in his FBS career to lead all active players.
No player in the MW has had more INTs than Lockridge does so far this season since Luq Barcoo in 2019 (San Diego State).
This week could be another special one as Lockridge is going up against his former team in the Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors. Lockridge spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons at Hawai'i before transferring to Fresno State.
Fresno State's defense had four interceptions against three different SJSU quarterbacks. The Bulldogs last did that with five picks off three Arizona State quarterbacks in 2023.
Fresno State again leads the Mountain West in total defense, allowing an average of 348.25 yards per game.
This weekend's game is a battle of two of the top quarterbacks in the Mountain West in Mikey Keene and Brayden Schager. The duo are among the Top 3 in the MW in four different QB statistics.
Keene is fresh off of a solid performance, completing 30-of-41 attempts for 275 yards and three touchdowns.
WR Jalen Moss had the first multi-touchdown game of his career with two scores against San Jose State.
Fresno State's starting receivers are all averaging over 10 yards a catch - Moss (13.5), Mac Dalena (19.8) and Raylen Sharpe (10.3).
