Pace qualifies for 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships

FRESNO, Calif. – With a program record 13.40m 43-11.75 in the triple jump earlier this season, Rachela Pace was selected to make her first trip to the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The junior will be one of 16 athletes to compete in the event at the indoor championships on March 9 in Boston, Mass.

Pace will be the first athlete to represent Fresno State at the indoor championships since Jestena Mattson competed in the pentathlon in 2019. Prior to that, the last Bulldog at the indoor championships was Je'Nea Sears (long jump) in 2013.

The native of Dingli, Malta earned her ticket with her school record mark that was set earlier this month at the Don Kirby Invitational. She enters the championships with the No. 12 mark on the list of entries.

The triple jump will be held at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT at The Track at New Balance in Boston on March 9.
