FRESNO, Calif. – Shooting just 24.6 percent, Fresno State was held to 41 points in a 73-41 defeat to No. 19 San Diego State on Saturday night at the Save Mart Center.
Isaiah Hill led the Bulldogs with 12 points. Jaedon LeDee recorded a double-double for the Aztecs, posting 22 points and 11 rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Fresno State opened the game 1-of-12 from the field, falling into a 22-4 hole 10 minutes into the game. San Diego State led by as much as 30 in the opening half, leading 40-10 with 2:57 on the clock. The 'Dogs scored six unanswered points inside of two-and-a-half minutes remaining in the half.
With Fresno State held to just 6-of-25 shooting, SDSU took a 42-16 lead heading into the locker room.
After Isaiah Pope hit a 3-pointer to open the second half, the Aztecs went on an 8-0 run to take a 50-19 advantage less than two minutes into the half. The Bulldogs' deficit hovered around 30 throughout the remainder of the game.
