HOUSTON, Texas- Fresno State swim and dive wraps up the first day of Mountain West Championships with the 1 meter springboard, 200 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First day of championships started with six dives for the 1 meter springboard. Jaden Fagundes and Grace Ally represented the Bulldogs in the preliminaries session. Ally placed in the top 10 at 6th with 255 points to move on to finals, while Fagundes placed 12th with 227.0 points.
Finals session began with the 200 medley relay. A relay of Korrie Tengan, Aliz Kalmar, Julia Matney and Mackenzie Hutler finished in 5th with a time of 1:39.38, just 0.07 off of the program record (1:39.31). Moving to the diving well, Ally earned herself a personal best with 275.95 and an 8th place finish. First day closed out with another 8th place finish for the 800 freestyle relay. A relay consisting of Wiktoria Dabrowska, Julia Matney, Samarah Melia and Laura Kalmar finished with a time of 7:26.69.

Sophomore Diver Grace Ally earned a personal best in the 1 meter improving by 20 points and an NCAA A standard
Fresno State's A 200 medley relay comes close to breaking the program record, just 0.07 off
