FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State volleyball team is back on the road this week with trips to UNLV and San Diego State.

The Bulldogs will face the UNLV Rebels on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. PT at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nev., followed by a match against San Diego State on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. PT at Aztec Court at Peterson Gym. Both matches will be streamed on the Mountain West Network and on the Mountain West App.

UPGRADES, PEOPLE. UPGRADES.

The inaugural season of Rosen Era has come with several upgrades for the Bulldogs, from the ground up.

Fresno State unveiled a brand new Taraflex® court this week to replace the wooden surface that has been used since the program's inception.

The Taraflex® court provides higher shock absorption that prevents long-term, debilitating injuries for athletes of all ages.

The court features the four-paw Bulldog logo in the center with the "Bulldogs" script logo in the bottom right and "Fresno State" in block letters in the top left corner.

The iconic Green V logo, representing California's Central Valley, is also displayed on the top right and bottom left corners of the court.

The installation of the court has been in the works since early July and was kept a secret from the team until its finalization on October 31 for a grand reveal for the team in the Save Mart Center.

BACK ON ROAD

The Bulldogs are back on the road after their longest stretch of consecutive home games with three.

Fresno State is 2-3 in conference road matches this season, most recently defeating Colorado State in Fort Collins for the first time since 1996 on October 19, 2023.

The 'Dogs have four-straight matches on the road (UNLV, SDSU, New Mexico and Air Force) before wrapping up the regular season with a pair of matches at home (Utah State and Boise State).

FRESH-NO STATE

Fresno State has seen dominant performances from freshmen on the court this season in Jenna Legault (R-Freshman) and Dionii Fraga (Freshman).

Dionii Fraga dominated the Bulldog defense last week, totaling 38 digs for the 'Dogs.

In Fresno State's victory against Nevada on Tuesday, Fraga accumulated an average of 4.25 digs per set with 17 on the night.

Fraga kept the Bulldogs alive in their five-set thriller against San Jose State on Thursday by running the defense with several diving plays to keep Fresno State alive and force a 5th set in the extremely narrow defeat.

Redshirt Freshman Jenna Legault came in clutch for the Bulldogs last week as she led the team with 29 kills and averaged 3.22 kills per set.

In addition, she earned a .228 hitting percentage this week.

She led the team with 30 points scored this week on top of adding 11 digs and a pair of block assists.

Jenna accumulated 18 kills against San Jose State on Thursday evening as she had a solid finishing performance, closing out sets with an aggressive offense to assist the Dogs in forcing a 5th set against the Spartans.

In the Bulldogs' victory over Nevada on Tuesday, Jenna totaled 11 kills and two total blocks to score 12 points for Fresno State.
