Fresno State's Jordan Campbell and Isaih Moore each scored 15 points in the Bulldogs' 76-72 loss at Pacific.
STOCKTON, Calif. - In a game of runs, the Fresno State men's basketball team lost 76-72 at Pacific on Saturday afternoon at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
Isaih Moore and Jordan Campbell each led the 'Dogs with 15 points apiece. Moore paced the Bulldogs in rebounds with nine, and added three steals and an assist.
Leo Colimero came off the bench to score a season-high 12 points on a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and went 4-for-5 from the free throw line while Jemarl Baker added 11 points for his fourth double-figure scoring game this season for Fresno State (3-5), who erased a 14-point second half deficit before succumbing to Pacific (4-7) in the waning minutes.
How It Happened
Fresno State jumped out to an early 7-2 lead after a dunk by Moore and a free throw by Donavan Yap kept the 'Dogs lead at five, 18-13, halfway through the opening half.
A three-pointer by Baker pushed the Bulldogs in front, 27-20 with 6:55 to play in the opening half, but the 'Dogs were held to two points the remainder of the half as Pacific reeled off a 13-0 run and closed out the half on an 18-2 run for a 38-29 lead at the break.
After falling behind by as many as 14 in the second half, the 'Dogs roared back back - using a 19-5 run that included Fresno State scoring the final 13 points of the rally, punctuated by Baker's three-pointer that knotted the game at 62.
The Tigers scored the next five points to go up 67-62 with the Bulldogs able to cut the deficit down to a one-possession game at 73-70 after a free throw by Moore, but that was as close as they could come with Pacific hitting three free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
Notes:
