Last week California Democrats approved a bill that will force health clinics on college campuses to provide abortion pills.
"College Student Right To Access Act" was approved to at a 7-3 vote last Wednesday by the CA State Senate Health Committee.
Former Gov. Jerry Brown vetoed this bill last October, arguing that abortion services were already “widely available off-campus."
But state St. Sen Connie Leyva, the bill’s chief sponsor, argued that “students should not have to travel off campus or miss class or work responsibilities in order to receive care that can easily be provided at a student health center.”
