CNN Praises North Korea at the Winter Olympics

During a report about the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, CNN Reporter Will Ripley tells Wolf Blitzer that North Korea secured a "diplomatic win" during the opening ceremonies with the appearance of Kim Yo-jong, who is the sister of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. While CNN and other media outlets fawn and gush over the presence of Kim Jong-un's sister, the mainstream media and other individuals are blasting the United States and particularly Vice President Mike Pence for not standing up during entrance of Korean athletes at the opening ceremonies. However, a White House spokesperson stated that VP Pence only stood for the American athletes during the opening ceremonies as is tradition, but that didn't stop others from comparing Pence's move to NFL players boycotting the National Anthem.
