A Northern California man accused of succumbing to a fit of rage and murdering three teenagers by running them off the road could face the death penalty. Police say 42-year-old Anurag Chandra from Corona rammed a car full of kids because he was mad about a game of ding dong ditch. The car carrying the teens crashed into a tree, killing three boys. Corona is also facing three counts of attempted murder because of three other boys who survived.
The Riverside County District Attorney is including a special circumstance allegation for multiple murders. That means he might pursue the death penalty. Family members told reporters they are crushed but have faith in the justice system.
