San Francisco is considering banning e-cigarette sales even though their biggest manufacturer, Juul, is headquartered in the city.
One of the two bills proposed Tuesday by Supervisor Shamann Walton would prohibit the sale of e-cigarettes pending an FDA pre-market review of their public health impacts.
The other would prevent companies like Juul from occupying any city-owned property in the future.
But Juul would not be kicked out of its city-owned Pier 70 location because the measure wouldn't apply retroactively.
