FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State men's golf team is tied for first place through two rounds at the Nick Watney Invitational, carding a 15-under 553 at Sunnyside Country Club on Monday.
James Watney led the Bulldogs, firing a 6-under with two rounds of 68. He is currently tied for fourth place on the leaderboard.
Joseph Lloyd followed closely at 5-under, shooting a 67 in the second round, and is tied for seventh place. Also in the Top 15, Chris Bettencourt finished 4-under, carding 69 in both rounds.
Jaden Hunter finished at even-par, while Ryan Firpo ended the day 3-over.
Mason Benbrook, who is competing as an individual, is tied for fourth place at 6-under.
