FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's tennis team will host Grand Canyon on Saturday, Feb. 15 before they visit Saint Mary's College on Sunday to start their seven road match stretch.
First serve against the Lopes is scheduled for 12 p.m. PT at Spalding G. Wathen, admission to all home matches are free. Action against the Gaels begins at 2 p.m. PT at Timothy Korth Tennis Complex.
BULLDOG BONES
Fresno State improved to 4-2 after defeating Cal Poly on the road, 4-3
Fresno State holds a 2-1 record at home
Yinglak Jittakoat remains the only Bulldog without a singles loss, 3-0
Matilde Magrini and Yinglak Jittakoat improved to 4-1 in doubles play at No. 1 following their win against Cal Poly
Sofia Pizzoni leads the Bulldogs with five wins in singles play (5-0)
Fresno State will meet GCU for the second time in program history
Bulldogs' are looking for their first victory against GCU after the Lopes swept the 'Dogs in Phoenix, 7-0
Fresno State will host GCU for the final non-conference matchup at home this season
Following their match against GCU, Fresno State will take a seven match roadtrip beginning Feb. 16
Fresno State's will return on March 21 for their first conference matchup at home against Colorado State
HOLDING THE LEAD
Sofia Pizzoni has continued her early season success and still remains the Bulldog's leader with five wins. Pizzoni helped secure the Bulldog's victory over Cal Poly's Ozerets in three sets (6-3, 1-6, 7-6), improving to 5-1 on the season. Pizzoni holds the only clinch win of the season.
ROAD LIFE
Fresno State will begin a seven match road trip beginning on Feb. 16 at Saint Mary's College that will last well into conference play. Fresno State will hit stops at BYU. UCSD, CSUN, North Texas to close out the non conference portion of the spring. Bulldogs will enter conference play with two stops at Boise State and Utah State before returning home on Mar. 21.

Diane Vorster leads the Lopes in her first season at the helm
GCU is the defending WAC Champions
Lopes are 3-3 on the season and are coming off two road wins against Stephen F. Austin (4-3) and UT Arlington (4-1)

Gala Arangio is 4-1 on the season and sits undefeated at the No. 2 slot, 2-0
