SEATTLE – On the opening day of the UW Invitational, Ella Spaulding claimed third in the pentathlon at Dempsey Indoor. The sophomore finished with 3,737 points moving her to No. 4 on the program's all-time list in the multi-event.
Spaulding jumped up the leaderboard on her final event, taking third in the 800 meters with a time of 2:21.35 to add 805 points to her total.
Despite not competing in the final event of the pentathlon, Colleen Uzoekwe landed the seventh-best mark at Fresno State in the shot put with a toss of 15.06m/49-5.
In her first 3,000 meters, Chiara Pedol crossed the line in 9:49.36. It jumped the freshman to No. 4 all-time at Fresno State.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – At the New Mexico Team Open, Fresno State went 3-5 in the 200 meters on Friday.
Ceonna Pipion took third, just missing her school record. The senior clocked a time of 23.81. Itzia Mejia Garcia placed fifth at 24.11. The time lowered her No. 4 mark on the program's all-time list.
