SWIMMER OF WEEK
Fresno State senior Julia Matney was tabbed the Mountain West Swimmer of the Week on Jan. 14. This is Matney's first weekly honor this season and the first for the Bulldogs this season.
Against Pepperdine, Matney placed first in all events, swan a personal best time in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:02.41, swam a leg of the victorious 400-yard medley relay that turned in a time of 3:49.61, setting a Fresno State Aquatic Center record.
The senior earned her second Mountain West weekly honor of her career, also earned a Freshman of the Week honor. At Fresno State Matney now holds three relay records - 400 Medley (Aquatic Center & Program Record), 800 Free Relay (Program Record) and one individual record (100 IM)
DIVING TO THE TOP
Natalia Bedolla had herself a weekend at the Cal Diving Invite. The junior qualified into finals for all three diving disciplines (1 & 3 meter and platform). Bedolla saw her highest finish of the weekend in the 1-meter springboard with 7th place and a score of 264.65.
The Guadalajara native has made an impact in the diving well in just two meets this season, Pepperdine and Cal Invite.
