FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State volleyball team is hitting the road this week, traveling to San Diego and Las Vegas for matches against San Diego State and UNLV.

The 'Dogs are coming off of a 2-0 week with back-to-back sweeps at home against New Mexico and Air Force, giving them a 9-3 record to place Fresno State at second in the Mountain West standings.

WHAT A WEEK

With home matches against New Mexico and Air Force at home, the 'Dogs went 6-0 in sets played in their first back-to-back sweeps since 2019.

The 'Dogs out-hit the Lobos .216 to .164 and the Falcons .260 to .067.

Fresno State nearly doubled the Falcons kill count in the match with 42 in comparison to Air Force's 26.

The Bulldogs are on a four-match winning streak against the Lobos, dating back to last season.

AT THE PEAK

After going 7-1 over the past month of conference matches, the Bulldogs are tied for second in the conference standings with San Jose State at 9-3.

Setter Brooke Cowie leads the conference in total assists with 949 this season, averaging 10.20 per set.

In addition, sophomore libero Dionii Fraga leads the conference in total digs with 380.

Ella Rud and Addison Halsuka are tied for the most kills in the conference with 93 each. tops the conference with 390.0 total points and 917 total attacks.

Rud has also scored the most points in the MW this season with 411.0.

GOOD TIMES…

The Bulldogs are headed to Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas for the first time since winning the MW Championship in 2023.

Fresno State went 4-0 at the Cox Pavilion in 2023, beating opponents 12-4 in sets played.

The 'Dogs had a .276 hitting percentage at Cox Pavilion in 2023 with 206 kills, 174 assists and 29 services aces.
