BOULDER CITY, Nev. — The Fresno State women's golf team set a new program record for the lowest single-round score, firing a 16-under 272 on the opening day of the Clash at Boulder Creek. The Bulldogs currently lead the tournament.
Vunnisa Vu and Motoko Shimoji are tied for the lead after shooting 6-under 66.
Amelia Garibaldi holds 11th place with a 3-under 69, while Katelyn Lehigh finished 1-under, and Ashley Tarkanian shot 8-over.
Competing as an individual, Berglind Erla Baldursdottir ended the day at 1-over.
The second round begins tomorrow at 7 a.m. PT, with Fresno State paired alongside San Francisco and host NAU.
