SUNNYVALE, Calif. –Chiara Pedol led the Fresno State cross country teams on Saturday at the Bronco Invitational with a 21st-place finish at Baylands Park. The freshman crossed the line in the women's 6k invite at 21:08.1.
The time was Pedol's second-fastest of the year, 24 seconds off her personal best.
Sophomore Khushleen Khakh was 20 seconds back of her teammate, finishing 37th. Senior Corie Smith was also under 22 minutes at 21:58.0.
Diana Cortes was six spots behind Smith in 67th. The sophomore was just seven seconds off her best, finishing in 22:03.2.
Junior Guillermo Lopez paced the men's team in the 8k with a time of 25:44.9, finishing 68th. Freshman Noah Graffigna was three spots behind him at 25:46.2.
