FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State water polo head coach Natalie Benson announced Reilly Gallagher to the staff as an assistant coach, completing the Bulldogs' coaching staff ahead of the 2025 season. Gallagher will serve as the Bulldogs' goalkeepers' coach.
"We are very excited to have our staff fully assembled with the addition of Reilly Gallagher as an assistant coach," Benson said on the program's newest hire. "Reilly brings solid knowledge as a collegiate goalkeeper, as well as quality experience as an age group and national level ODP coach to our program. I know our team will benefit from her intelligence and determination, both on and off the deck."
A native of Placer County in California, Gallagher brings more than ten years of experience coaching and refereeing various levels of play. Her coaching resume includes mentoring goalies for the Olympic Development program, recently traveling to Greece with the Youth and Cadet Girls teams. She also has stops at Miramar Junior College, San Diego Shores, and more.
After competing for Del Oro High School, Gallagher attended University of California, San Diego where she studied Communication and Business, was involved in the A Cappella community, and competed with the UC San Diego Water Polo team for all four years.
As an athlete, she earned multiple ACWPC All-American athletic and academic honors and her 530 saves in the net rank ninth all-time in program history. Gallagher also served as a captain and representative on the Triton Athletic Council.
She continued her water polo career and further pursued her education earning distinction with a Masters Degree in Marketing in Durham, England.
Gallagher will join assistant coach Cecilia Leonard as first-time assistant coaches. Benson also announced former Bulldogs Paula Nieto Jasny and Robyn Greenslade to the staff as graduate assistants for this upcoming season.
