FRESNO, Calif. - Former Fresno State water polo players Paula Nieto Jasny and Robyn Greenslade have remained with the program as graduate assistants for the 2025 season, head coach Natalie Benson announced on Tuesday.
Nieto Jasny completed her eligibility as the most decorated goalkeeper in Fresno State's program history. She spent five seasons in the pool for the 'Dogs, and was a two-time Golden Coast Conference first team all-conference selection. She left as the program's leader in career saves with 862 to her name.
The native of Malaga, Spain will work with the goalkeepers moving forward.
"We're lucky to have Paula around for an extra year to help in a graduate assistant coaching role," Benson said of the former player joining the staff. "She has always had a desire to push our program into the next level as an athlete, and now I'm proud that she wants to stay involved and help our team in a different capacity. Her enthusiasm for the sport is unique, and I know she will help our program continue to strive for what's next."
Greenslade spent one season with the Bulldogs in 2024, transferring in from Indiana. She appeared in 25 games last season. Greenslade, a native of Devon, England, is pursuing her master's degree in sports administration from Fresno State.
"Robyn will continue with the program as a Graduate Assistant in her final year with our program," added Benson. "Robyn brings an infectious energy and solid work ethic to our group, and is an exciting asset for our team this season. She will be able to tap into her desired career path in intercollegiate/professional athletics through her role with our team this season."
