FRESNO, Calif. – Future nonconference football matchups are set for the Bulldogs through the 2028 season as Fresno State and Rice announced a home-and-home agreement on Tuesday.
Fresno State will host Rice on September 26, 2026 and travel for a game at Rice on September 11, 2027. The Bulldogs also added a home game against Cal Poly on September 16, 2028.
The additions of Rice and Cal Poly to the future schedules complete the Bulldogs' nonconference slate through the 2028 season. Fresno State has scheduled nonconference games through 2032.
Fresno State has a power conference opponent on its schedule at least once every year through 2032. In October 2023, the Bulldogs announced future home football games with both Stanford and UCLA, marking the first time in Bulldog football history those programs will travel to the Central Valley. With the addition of Stanford and UCLA to future home schedules, Fresno State will host a currently designated "Autonomous 4" program in 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030, and 2032.
