Gisclon named to ITA Rising Coaches Program

Tempe, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is pleased to announce the selections for the inaugural class of the ITA Rising Coaches program. The Rising Coaches program is aimed at assisting current, or recently graduated, student-athletes who are interested in a career in college tennis coaching through an intensive two-week online program.

All of the following individuals have been selected to participate in the first ITA Rising Coaches session which will be held from June 7th through June 23rd:

Daria Georgiana Jula, Delaware State University

Peter Kovats, Southern Wesleyan University

Julio Lopes Polesi, Emmanuel University

Jackeline Lopez, Rutgers University

This class of 20 current & former student-athletes will be taking a deep dive into their leadership traits and learning the best practices for their first year as an assistant coach. Upon completion, the participants will gain an understanding of the expectations and desired abilities of a college tennis assistant coach and the competencies necessary for a career in college tennis coaching.

With selections representing 19 schools and the NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, as well as NAIA levels of play, this year's class will bring a wide variety of perspectives and college tennis experience to the program as they all look to continue their time in college tennis as a coach.
