FRESNO, Calif. – With the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships underway at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., Fresno State will have three women compete on Thursday.
Amelia DiPoala will begin the day at 3 p.m. PT in the hammer. Attention will then shift to the javelin where Harriette Mortlock will take to the runway at 6:45 p.m. Jordyn Bryant will be the final Bulldog to throw as she competes in the shot put at 7:40 p.m.
Bryant will also be in action on Saturday at 2:05 p.m. in the discus.
The four entries at a single championship are the most for Fresno State under the current two-region qualifying format, passing the three that the program had in 2017. Bryant is also the first Bulldog to participate in multiple events at a single championship during the 21st Century.

Jordyn Bryant - Shot Put/Discus
Landed personal bests in both the discus and shot put at the NCAA West First Round two weeks ago in Fayetteville, Ark., to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
First Bulldog in the 21st Century to compete in multiple events at a single NCAA Championship meet.
Among a group of six female athletes competing in both the discus and shot put this week.
Ranks No. 2 in program history in both events.
Qualified ninth in the shot put. Used her third and final attempt to qualify with a toss of 17.14m/56-2.75.
The first Bulldog to qualify for the championships in the shot put since Rosario Sanchez in 2010.
Ranks No. 22 in the NCAA this season in the shot put, 17th among those in this week's field of 24.
Used her first attempt in the discus to qualify No. 1 with a throw of 61.03m/200-2.
Will appear in the discus at the NCAA Championships for the second straight year. Finished 18th in 2023 with a mark of 52.25m/171-5.
It is the third consecutive year a Bulldog has featured at nationals in the discus.
Ranks No. 6 in the discus this season, fifth among those in this week's field of 24.
Amelia DiPaola - Hammer
Will be making first appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Earned the final qualifying spot on her final throw with a toss of 60.39m/198-1 to place 12th.
First Bulldog hammer thrower to qualify for the NCAA Championships since Megan McKee in 2014.
Ranks No. 5 all-time at Fresno State with a mark of 62.89m/206-89.
Ranks No. 30 in the NCAA this season, 20th among those in this week's field of 24.
Harriette Mortlock - Javelin
Will be making first appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Qualified by landing a personal best of 52.11m/170-11 on her first attempt. Finished 10th in the event.
First Bulldog to qualify for the championships in the javelin since Vanja Spaic in 2021.
Ranks No. 3 in program history.
Ranks No. 28 in the NCAA this season, 19th among those in this week's field of 24.
