FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State baseball team dropped its final home game of the 2024 season, 4-2 to CSU Bakersfield on Tuesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After a quick top of the first, Eddie Saldivar led off the bottom of the frame with a solo home run.
With runners on second and third, Rocco Peppi drove in another run for the Diamond 'Dogs with a sacrifice fly to right field in the third.
The quiet Roadrunner offense woke up in the top of the seventh as they scored four runs on two hits.
The bats cooled down for both sides for the remainder of the game and the Bulldogs fell 4-2 to the Roadrunners.
NOTES
The Bulldogs combined for seven strikeouts on the mound tonight.
Eddie Saldivar went two for three on the night with a home run and a double.
Fresno State had a total home attendance of over 42,000 members of the Red Wave this season with an average attendance of over 1,500 fans per game in 2024.
