FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State Athletics is using Podium X to offer the career development and personal marketing tool to its student athletes. Podium X changes the way athletes prepare and apply for jobs and internships as well as market themselves for NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) opportunities.
"Fresno State Athletics is dedicated to the holistic development of our student-athletes while they are competing and beyond," said Carlie Corrigan, Fresno State Director of Student-Athlete Development. "Capitalizing on the capabilities of PodiumX in both the career and name, image, and likeness space will elevate the student-athlete experience and extend support into their life after graduation."
The Podium X platform (www.podiumx.com) allows creation of an online profile that is specially designed for athletes to highlight their unique journey and valuable soft skills often developed through athletics. Student- athletes can represent themselves digitally or create traditional resume PDFs or NIL Pitch Profiles with a click and be matched to hundreds of national job openings. Employers post job openings and can view student profiles that match the skills they need.
"We are looking forward to getting Podium X on campus and sharing our personal marketing tools for NIL and career readiness," says Rich Thompson, Founder & CEO of Podium X. "As a former collegiate athlete and HR executive, I know the value athletic experience brings to the workplace. We want to help student-athletes showcase themselves in the best possible way to highlight those lessons learned and position themselves for career success upon graduation."
Podium X was developed by experts in career services with extensive experience in staffing and recruiting, training/development, talent management, and human resources. It is backed by the power of XPG Recruit Athlete, a division of Jacksonville, Florida based XPG Recruit, with an experienced team that specializes in placing graduated athletes into career opportunities.
