WALNUT, Calif. – Four Fresno State athletes took to invitational sections on Saturday at the Mt. SAC Relays, posting a pair of runner-up finishes and a third-place result.
Already holding Fresno State's school record in the triple jump, Rachela Pace bettered that mark. On her second attempt of the event, the junior registered a jump of 13.26m/43-6 to move into second where she remained. Pace's previous record stood at 13.12m/43-0.5.
Jordyn Bryant also picked up a runner-up finish, doing so in the discus. On her final attempt, the senior jumped from fifth to second with a throw that landed at 59.68m/195-9. The mark moved Bryant up to third all-time at Fresno State.
Cierra Jackson took third in the shot put. Holding a mark of 16.75m/54-11.5 heading into the finals, the junior improved that to 16.82m/55-2.25 on her final attempt.
In the hammer, Amelia DiPaola placed 10th with a toss of 60.76m/199-4.

The Bulldogs will host the Fresno State Invitational on April 26 and 27. The hammer throw and invite long jump will be contested on Friday at Warmerdam Field with all other events taking place on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
