WALNUT, Calif. – Day 2 for Fresno State at the Mt. SAC Relays saw wins come from the women's 4x400 relay and Liz Tarczy in the high jump on Friday. The Bulldogs totaled eight Top 10 finishes on the day.
Tarczy's win came with a personal-best clearance of 1.77m/5-9.75 on her second attempt at the height. The jump moved the freshman into a tie for No. 4 on the program's all-time list.
The 4x4 team of Chloe Sharp, Iyanna Ross, Miana Giovannini, Ceonna Pipion clocked a season-best time of 3:39.21. The mark ranks No. 7 all-time at Fresno State. Pipion also took fourth in the 400 meters (53.21) and 12th in the 200 meters (23.83).
Antoinette Stubbfield, Pipion, Ross and Sharp began the day with a fifth-place finish in the 4x100 relay with a time of 46.02.
In the field, Rachela Pace took fifth long jump with her top mark registering 6.18m/20-3.5. In the discus, Emma Harper finished eighth with a toss of 48.14/157-11.
The final day for the Bulldogs begins tomorrow at 1 p.m. PT with the elite section of the shot put.
