FRESNO, Calif.- Fresno State women's basketball team announces junior transfer Mariah Elohim as the newest addition to the 2024-25 roster.
Elohim comes to Fresno from Long Island University, where she played for two seasons with the Sharks (2022, 2023). The California native will come back to her home roots and play for the Bulldogs in the upcoming season with two years of eligibility remaining.
At Long Island, Elohim earned a series of accolades in her time there including, All-NEC Second Team, Three-time NEC Prime Performer (Feb. 12, Feb. 26, Mar. 4 of 2024), NEC Co-Rookie of Week on Dec. 19, 2022, NEC Prime Performer on Feb. 27, 2023
In the 2023-24 season Elohim appeared in all 30 games, averaging 12.7 points per game, led team in three-pointers per game (2.1) and free throw percentage (.853), was the second on team in points per game, recorded double digit points in 23 games and scored career-high 30 points in win over Chicago State on Feb. 5, 2024
Elohim is the second transfer to join for the 2024-25 season, joining incoming freshman Rayna Williams and Danae Powell with senior-transfer Saga Ukkonen.
