SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Fresno State baseball team is back on the road to face the Mustangs of Cal Poly on Tuesday at Baggett Stadium.
REDEMPTION SZN
As Fresno State seeks its 100th all-time win over the Cal Poly Mustangs, they also seek redemption for a 0-3 season against Cal Poly in 2023.
The Bulldogs battled it out with the Mustangs three times, two on the road and one home contest.
Cal Poly outscored the Bulldogs 37-14 across the three games.
The Mustangs are 18-12 on the season and sit in second place in the Big West conference, behind UC Irvine.
Fresno State and Cal Poly are both riding three-game winning streaks.

Fresno State now sits solo at the top of the Mountain West standings after back-to-back sweeps over MW opponents UNLV and Nevada.
With a 12-3 conference record, the 'Dogs are up by 3.5 games over second-place New Mexico, who the Bulldogs will face on the road this weekend.

Tommy Hopfe has been named MW Player of the Week after his performance in the Bulldogs' sweep over the Nevada Wolf Pack.
Tommy Hopfe dominated the Bulldog offense last week, with a .643 average.
In Fresno State's sweep over Nevada, Hopfe had seven hits in nine at-bats, a .778 average in three starts at first base.
He also had a 1.111 slugging percentage against Nevada and a .867 on-base percentage over the weekend.
Hopfe also hit a home run, scored 5 runs and drove in four RBIs.
At first base, he recorded 20 putouts and an assist for a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Hopfe also took the mound against the Wolf Pack, earning his sixth save of the season and striking out two batters.
