FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's golf team will compete in the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, April 3-4 at the Par 72, 6,191-yard Ak-Chin Southern Dunes in Maricopa, Ariz., hosted by the University of Wyoming.

THE FIELD

Wyoming, Boise State, CSU Fullerton, Fresno State, Long Beach State, Montana, Montana State, Nevada, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Portland State, Sacramento State San Diego State, Santa Clara, Southern Utah, UC Riverside, Hawaii, UTEP, CSU Bakersfield and CSU Northridge.

LAST TIME OUT

The Fresno State women's golf team finished seventh at the Fresno State Classic after carding a 23-over 887.

Katelyn Lehigh was the low Bulldog on the day, shooting 2-over 74. Lehigh and Vunissa Vu both scored a 3-over 219 through the tournament, tying for 11th place in the field. Amelia Garibaldi finished 5-over, Sophia Chen was 12-over and Katelyn Harris was 28-over.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE FALL

At the first tournament of the season, Fresno State recorded a new program low two-round total of 15-under par 561 at the Timpanogos Collegiate Classic in Provo.

The Bulldogs tied the program record for the lowest score in a 54-hole tournament with a 12-under par 852.

Sophomore Katelyn Lehigh captured the 19th medalist honor in program history, winning the Timpangos Collegiate Invitational. Lehigh set a new program record for the lowest three-round total, carding an overall score of 15-under par 201.

Transfer Jinyu Wu recorded a seventh-place finish in her first tournament as a Bulldog, scoring a 73 on day three for a 7-under 209 total. Wu's score tied the program's fifth-lowest three-round total.

NEW KIDS ON THE COURSE

Fresno State only returned two players from last season, adding five newcomers.

The Bulldogs added two transfers to the roster in Jinyu Wu (Washington State) and Meredith McDougal (Westmont College). Along with three freshmen in Amelia Garibaldi, Sophia Yi-Ju Chen and Vunnisa Vu.
