FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State softball team dropped the series finale against San Diego State 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at Margie Wright Diamond.
The Bulldogs (20-10, 2-4 MW) were held to a season-low four hits and were shutout for only the second time this season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The game was scoreless through four innings, before the Aztecs found an offensive spark with a two-run home run over the left-field wall. SDSU added one run in the sixth and the final run of the game in the seventh.
The Aztecs took the win 4-0 to secure the series against the Bulldogs.
UP NEXT
Fresno State will travel to face UCSB in a midweek contest on Wednesday, before returning home to host a non-conference series against LMU March 29-30 at Margie Wright Diamond.
