FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State softball team will host a Mountain West series against San Diego State (15-12, 2-1 MW) this weekend at Margie Wright Diamond.
Fresno State Athletics will retire Bulldog Softball's #36 jersey in honor of Amanda Scott, a 1998 national champion and four-time All-American, as well as honor the iconic coaching career of former head coach Donna Pickel after the second game of the doubleheader on Friday.

Elias has recorded a hit in 21 consecutive games. Elias' hitting streak ranks No. 4 in program history, tied with Nina Lindenberg (1996-98).
THE DEALIN' DUO
Senior Taylor Gilmore and sophomore Serayah Neiss have been a one-two punch for the Bulldogs in the circle this season.
Gilmore owns a 10-2 record, with four saves and three complete games. She owns a 1.89 ERA. The Broomfield, Colo. native has dished 69 strikeouts in 77.2 innings.
Neiss has an 8-4 record with one save. She owns a 3.14 ERA. The Newberg, Ore. native has pitched 77.2 innings for the Bulldogs this season.
PORTAL PRODUCTION
Three out of the Bulldogs' top five hitters are transfers.
Natalie Elias (CBU) leads the team at the plate with a .419 batting average and 36 hits. Sophia Medellin (Cal) owns a .373 batting average with 31 hits and a team-high 25 RBIs. Lauren Almeida (Utah Tech) has a .345 batting average with 29 hits and 21 RBIs this season.
