'Dogs learn seeding for Big 12 Championship

IRVING, Texas - The Big 12 announced on Tuesday the seedings for the 2024 Big 12 Equestrian Championship, hosted by Baylor at Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco, Texas on March 29-30. The bracket unveiled Fresno State as the No. 3 seed in this year's championship.

Fresno State will face No. 2 Oklahoma State in the first round of competition in Texas.

Baylor, Fresno State, Oklahoma State and TCU will compete in four events under the two Equestrian disciplines: Western (Horsemanship, Reining) and Jumping Seat (Flat, Fences).

TCU (11-1, 6-0) earned the top seed followed by Oklahoma State (6-6, 4-2) at the No. 2 spot. Fresno State (3-8, 1-5) and Baylor (2-10, 1-5) completed the seedings at the third and fourth seeds, respectively.

The seedings were determined via a seeding grid that accounted for location, win/loss and NCEA rankings at the time of each conference match.

The Big 12 Equestrian Championship will be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. A full schedule of events will be released the week of the championship.
