FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State baseball team is back in action at home with the Mountain West opener against the San Diego State Aztecs.
SCOUTING THE AZTECS
San Diego State has a 3-5 record to start the season after losing its opening series to Portland.
The Aztecs bounced back in the annual Tony Gwynn Legacy hosted by San Diego State with wins over Missouri and CSU Bakersfield and a loss to Utah.
The Aztecs have only had one road contest this season, a midweek matchup against UC Riverside that resulted in a 13-9 loss.
Last season San Diego State owned a 24-29 record (18-11 MW), earning them a spot in the Mountain West Championship tournament hosted at Fresno State.
San Diego State was eliminated from the tournament with back-to-back losses, the second of which was against Fresno State.
