COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Following Fresno State's best finish at Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championship, nine different Bulldogs were named All-Mountain West on Tuesday afternoon. The team is composed of the top three finishers in each individual event and the top three relay teams at the Mountain West Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Madison Hutton and Kaja Bins, opened the meet placing first and third in the pentathlon. Narrowly off the pace of their personal bests, finished with 3,982 points while Bins was at 3,715 points.
Cierra Jackson and Liz Tarczy each went home with a bronze. Jackson re-broke her school record in the shot put, landing a throw of 16.86m/55-3.75 on her fifth attempt. Tarczy medaled in her first Mountain West championship after clearing a height of 1.74m/5-8.5.
Rachela Pace earned a place in both the long jump and triple jump. The junior took third in both events finishing with jumps of 6.29m/20-7.75 in the long and 13.36m/43-10 in the triple.
Ceonna Pipion also doubled up, after claiming second in the 400 meters and added a third-place finish in the 4x400 relay. The senior broke the school record in the 400 meters with a time of 52.90. Joining Pipion, and also receiving All-MW in the 4x400 relay, were Chloe Sharp, Iyanna Ross and Miana Giovannini.
