ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Already holding the No. 3 time in Fresno State history in the 200 meters, Ceonna Pipion broke the school record on Friday at the Don Kirby Invitational.
Running in the invitational section, Pipion clocked a time of 23.81 to narrowly pass Angela Daigle's record of 23.82. Daigle's record had stood since 1998.
Pipion entered the meet with a personal best of 24.20.
SEATTLE – Never having run the 5,000 meters indoors, Corie Smith broke Fresno State's school record in the event in her first opportunity on Friday at the Husky Classic.
Smith finished with a time of 17:21.96. The junior broke Sydney Fox's record of 17:29.36 which was set in 2019.
