BULLDOG BONES

Fresno State (unranked) won its first meet of the 2023-24 season in its fall finale, defeating then-No. 2 SMU 10-9 at home on Nov. 17.

Fresno State earned its first win over a Top 2 opponent since the Spring of 2021.

It was the fifth time in program history that the Bulldogs defeated a No. 1 or No. 2 team. The Bulldogs have another chance at an upset over the top-ranked team this Friday at TCU.

The Bulldogs had a handful of student-athletes earn monthly honors by the NCEA and the Big 12 in November as Sara Tuck was the flat rider of the month by both the NCEA and the Big 12. Shelby Robinette was the Big 12 reining rider of the month. Yasmin Roman was tabbed the NCEA standout student-athlete of the month.

Fresno State is 0-3 in its Big 12 meets this season.

The start of the spring season sees the Bulldogs on the road this weekend, then home for the rest of the regular season to host Baylor (Feb. 16), UC Davis (Feb. 24) and Oklahoma State (Mar. 2).

Fresno State has not been ranked yet this season.

The reining leads the way with 12 wins while horsemanship adds 10.

The Bulldogs' best western performance this season was a 6-2-2 showing at Baylor (Nov. 2).

Fresno State has won two MOPs in each western event this season.

The Bulldogs are led in the horsemanship by Abby Goddard who has gone 3-1 on the year.
