FRESNO, Calif. —  Fresno State will welcome Nevada to the Save Mart Center on Saturday afternoon. It will be the Bulldogs' first game in Fresno in 19 days after playing the last three on the road. It will be the Wolf Pack's Mountain West opener after being off during the week.

Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. PT and will stream on the Mountain West Network.

QUICK LOOK

Since joining the league in 2012, Fresno State is 5-6 in MW home openers, including wins in the last two.

The Bulldogs are 5-2 at the Save Mart Center this season. The 'Dogs were 3-1 during a four-game homestand in December.

Fresno State ranks fourth in the Mountain West in fast break points (12.6) and fifth in field goal percentage (47.3%).

Depth has come in handy thus far as the Bulldogs' bench is averaging 23.2 points per game, best in the MW. The bench has accounted for 30 or more points in four contests.

Isaiah Hill has done the heavy lifting for Fresno State thus far, leading the team in scoring (12.8 ppg) and assists (5.5 apg). Whereas the point guard ranks No. 20 in the Mountain West in scoring, he ranks 31st nationally in assists per game, sixth in the MW.

Transfer Xavier DuSell is second on the team in scoring at 10.2 points per game. The senior leads the 'Dogs in 3-point percentage, connecting at 40.7 percent clip (35-of-86). He sits second in the MW in 3-point percentage and third 3-pointers made per game (2.5).

Enoch Boakye (7.9) and Eduardo Andre (6.2) rank No. 3 and No. 10, respectively in the MW in rebounding per game.

With seven newcomers to the squad, that group has stepped in quickly to help complement the returners in the scoring column. Newcomers have accounted for 50.2 percent of the scoring thus far.

ABOUT THE MATCHUP

Since joining the Mountain West, Fresno State is 8-14 against Nevada and 4-5 at the Save Mart Center.

The Bulldogs' last win in the series came on its home court in 2022 (73-56).

70 IS THE MAGIC NUMBER

70 points. Through 14 games, 70 has been the number that the Bulldogs' offense is looking for. All but one of Fresno State's wins have come when scoring more than 70 points. When they don't hit that mark, it has all but once resulted in a loss for the 'Dogs.

The Bulldogs are 6-1 when reaching 70 points.

NEWCOMER IMPACT

With seven additions this season, the group has picked up the loss of production from a year ago. Through 14 games, the group has accounted for 50.2 percent of the team's scoring.

Three of the team's top six scorers were new to Fresno State in the summer, and six of the team's top nine contributors were new additions.
