FRESNO, Calif. – The bids are in, and the Fresno State volleyball team is set to face no. 1 seeded Stanford in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the NCAA announced on Sunday.
The Bulldogs will compete with Stanford on Friday, December 1 at 7 p.m. PT at Maples Pavilion and streamed live on the PAC-12 Network.
This is Fresno State's first appearance in the NCAA tournament since 2002 and the first time the Bulldogs will face the Cardinal since 1999.
Fresno State (19-13) received an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the Mountain West Tournament Champions. The field of 64 teams includes 32 automatic bids and 32 at-large bids. Stanford earned an automatic berth to the NCAA tournament by earning the program's 21st league title, going 26-3 on the season.
