FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State volleyball team is set to wrap up the regular season this weekend with two matches at the Save Mart Center.
The Bulldogs will face Utah State on Thursday evening at 6 p.m. PT as they host Green V Fest at the Save Mart Center. Fresno State will close out the regular season with a match against Boise State, followed by a ceremony to celebrate the team's three seniors.
SENIOR SZN
Following Saturday's match against Boise State, Fresno State will honor three seniors, Grace Doyle, Molly Eppright and Hannah Waters.
Grace Doyle spent five years on the Bulldog squad, has earned her undergraduate degree in Forensic Behavioral Sciences and is pursuing a master's degree in Sports Administration.
Molly Eppright also spent five years with the Bulldogs as a defensive specialist and libero. In her time at Fresno State, she graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology and is currently pursuing her master's degree in sports psychology.
Hannah Waters transferred to Fresno State and was a 'Dog for two years. She will be graduating with a degree in communications in the spring.
RECORD YEAR
The Bulldogs are having a record year this season with multiple program records being broken in 2023.
Sanger native Dionii Fraga broke the record for digs from a freshman with 450 on the season so far with two left to play.
Senior Grace Doyle has also etched her name in the record books this season, breaking the record for career block assists with 385 and total career blocks with 467.
ON THE RISE
With 16 overall wins so far this season, the Bulldogs have their best record since 2018.
The Bulldogs also have 10 conference wins so far in 2023, the most since the 2018 season as well.
FIRST ON THE 'FLEX
The Bulldogs will have their first opportunity to play on the brand new Taraflex court on Thursday's match against Utah State.
Fresno State unveiled a brand new Taraflex® court this week to replace the wooden surface that has been used since the program's inception.
The Taraflex® court provides higher shock absorption that prevents long-term, debilitating injuries for athletes of all ages.
The court features the four-paw Bulldog logo in the center with the "Bulldogs" script logo in the bottom right and "Fresno State" in block letters in the top left corner.
The iconic Green V logo, representing California's Central Valley, is also displayed on the top right and bottom left corners of the court.
The installation of the court has been in the works since early July and was kept a secret from the team until its finalization on October 31 for a grand reveal for the team in the Save Mart Center.
