QUICK LOOK

With its win last weekend against UNLV, Fresno State secured its 8th win in a row at Valley Children's Stadium, dating back to Oct. 15, 2022 when the 'Dogs defeated San Jose State to spark its 14-game winning streak.

Fresno State does not leave the state of California for the remainder of the 2023 regular season games. With two home games, and road tests at San Jose State and San Diego State, the Bulldogs do not travel more than 350 miles in games in November.

As we approach the home stretch of the 2023 season, each game remains important, and the games in November are always ones to remember. As Fresno State head coach (four seasons), Jeff Tedford has a 12-5 record in the month of November including two undefeated seasons in the month (2017, 2022).

Fresno State ranks No. 1 in the Mountain West in turnovers gained and turnover margin. The 'Dogs are No. 3 and 2 in the FBS rankings, respectively. Fresno State has outgained its opponent in turnovers, 18-7.

Fresno State senior safety Dean Clark has been named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week. Clark tied for the team-high with eight tackles in Fresno State's 31-24 win over UNLV last Saturday. Clark did more than just record stops in the win, he was responsible for two of the Bulldogs' four turnovers gained in the win as he had an interception and a fumble recovery.

After leaving the game with injury at Wyoming (Oct. 7) and sitting out the Utah State game (Oct. 13), redshirt sophomore Mikey Keene was back under center on Saturday against UNLV.

Team Captain. Super Senior. Starting Linebacker. A lot of different terms can be used to explain Levelle Bailey, but one this year stands out among the rest – playmaker.

For the third time this season, it was Bailey who called GAME. As UNLV started a potential game-winning drive at their own 48-yard line last Saturday (Oct. 28), the Rebels moved the ball down to the Bulldogs' 8-yard line with 19 seconds left. After two incomplete passes, the captain sealed the game, intercepting Jayden Maiava in the middle of the field.

Fresno State Football unveiled on Monday a custom helmet decal that the Bulldogs will wear in their Nov. 4 home game against Boise State in honor of Native American Heritage Month. In partnership with Table Mountain Casino Resort, the official game sponsor for the contest, Fresno State continues to highlight the various cultures and traditions that make up California's robust Central Valley.

ABOUT THE MATCHUP

Fresno State and Boise State will meet for the 26th time on Saturday.

The 'Dogs trail the all-time series 17-8, and are 4-6 in games played in Fresno.

Fresno State's last home win against the Broncos was a 28-17 win on Nov. 25, 2017.

Saturday's game will be the first trophy game for the Bulldogs this season, going head-to-head with Boise State to win back the Milk Can.

The teams have faced off for the Milk Can each year since 2005. Fresno State looks for possession of the Milk Can trophy for the first time since 2017.

Saturday's matchup is a rematch of the 2022 Mountain West Championship Game.
