FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State volleyball team is set to host rematches against Nevada and San Jose State this week at the Save Mart Center.

The Bulldogs will host Nevada for the Mountain West Tuesday Night Block Party at 6 p.m. PT at the Save Mart Center and streamed live on the MW Network and MW App.

The Spartans of San Jose State will be in town on Thursday to face Fresno State in the Save Mart Center at 6 p.m. PT for Cancer Awareness night. Fans dressed in pink will receive free admission to the match.

THIS WEEK AT THE ARENA

The Bulldogs are hosting several promotional days this week with the Mountain West Tuesday Night Block Party and Staff/Faculty Appreciation Night on Tuesday in Fresno.

Fresno State staff and faculty get free admission to the game with a university ID.

Thursday is Cancer Awareness Night for the Bulldogs and fans wearing pink get in to the arena for free.

Fresno State is getting hot at the right time as they have won four matches in a row.

This is the longest win streak the Bulldogs have been on since 2019.

MOUNTAIN WEST OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Brooke Cowie had another exceptional week for the Bulldogs, running the offense with 81 total assists and an average of 10.23 assists per set.

Cowie added another double-double this week, with a career-high 52 assists and 11 digs against Colorado State on the road bringing her total to 15 double-doubles and one triple-double in 2023.

In addition, Cowie also had 5 service aces this week, four against Colorado State and one against Wyoming. She also went up for 4 total blocks this week and five kills.

MOUNTAIN WEST FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Freshman libero Dionii Fraga showed out for the Bulldogs this week with 35 digs this week and an average of 4.38 digs per set.

Fraga also totaled 5 service aces in the Bulldogs' five-set thriller against Colorado State, a career-high and the most in a single game for a freshman in the Mountain West this week.

With an average of 4.33 digs per set, Fraga continues to lead the conference in the category.
