STOCKTON, Calif. – The Fresno State men's golf team wrapped up the fall season with a fifth-place finish at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational. The Bulldogs carded a 23-under-par 841.
Matthew Sutherland tied for fourth among the 99-player field after scoring a 6-under 66 in the final round, chalking five birdies and an eagle down the stretch. Sutherland led the squad with a tournament score of 12-under 204, marking his third lowest tournament score this season for his third Top 5 finish.
Joseph Lloyd, Ryan Firpo and Matthew Manganello went 1-under-par in the final round.
Lloyd recorded his second-lowest tournament score of the season with a 6-under 210. The junior tied for 15th, his second Top 15 finish of the season.
