BOISE, Idaho – The Fresno State volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to Boise State on Thursday evening in Bronco Arena in Boise, Idaho.
With the loss, the Bulldogs' record levels out to 8-8 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Boise State struck early in the match, earning as much as a 12-point lead over Fresno State before claiming the opener 25-15. Fresno State fell behind early in the second set but chipped away at the Bronco lead with four kills to tie the set at 7-7. The Broncos revved their engines and broke out of the tie game with an 8-2 run before pulling ahead 25-16 over the Bulldogs in the second set. Boise State held on to its momentum in the final set, starting with a 7-1 run. Fresno State battled to come back, going on multiple three-point runs, but ultimately dropped the set 25-18 and the match 3-0.
NOTES
Freshman Mya Sellers earned her first and second block assist in her collegiate career, partnering with Jenna Legault and Addison Haluska in the third set.
Ella Rud led the 'Dogs with nine kills out of Fresno State's 26 total.
The Bulldogs totaled 10 blocks, led by Addison Haluska and Freshman Mya Sellers.
