LODI, Calif. – Led by Top-10 finishes from Corie Smith and Khushleen Khakh, the Fresno State women's cross country team placed fourth on Friday evening at the Pacific Invitational at Micke Grove Golf Course.
Smith paced the 'Dogs with a ninth-place finish, crossing the line in 21:54.3. Just behind her was her freshman teammate who finished the 6k in 21:58.4. It was the first time Khakh has been under 22 minutes this season and moved to No. 20 on the program's all-time list.
Diana Cortes grabbed a Top-20 result, placing 15th at 22:20.0.
Also scoring for the 'Dogs were Rain Gomez (23rd, 22:35.9) and Janae Penner (28th, 22:42.1).
