'Dogs break records on day two in Utah

PROVO, Utah – The Fresno State women's golf team sits in second place after day two of the Timpanogos Collegiate Invitational. The Bulldogs are 15-under par through 36 holes, carding a 561 thus far. The two-round total is a new program low, 10 strokes better than the previous record which was set in 2018.

Leading after one round, the 'Dogs still posted the program's eighth-best 18-hole score, but Grand Canyon carded an 18-under to move two shots ahead Fresno State on the team leaderboard.

Katelyn Lehigh leads the field after posting a 7-under par 65 on the day, a new career-low for the sophomore which is the second-lowest round in program history. She holds a three shot lead on GCU's Leighton Shosted and CSUN's Nicole Tanoue.

Lehigh also set a new program low for a two-round total with a 12-under par 132. She totaled nine birdies on the round with six of those coming on the front nine when she moved atop the leaderboard.

Jinyu Wu moved her way up to fourth place after carding a 5-under par 67, which ties for the seventh-lowest round in program history. She knocked in six birdies.

The Bulldogs will open day three at 7 a.m. PT tomorrow.
