NEW ORLEANS - Fresno State redshirt sophomore quarterback Mikey Keene is one of eight quarterbacks to be named Star of the Week by the Manning Award, presented by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, following their Week 1 performances.
College football fans can follow the Manning Award on social media (@ManningAward) to vote for what they think was the best performance from this past weekend. When voting closes on Thursday at 7 a.m. PT, the top vote-getter will be announced as the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week.
Mikey Keene, Fresno State (31-of-44, 366 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT, QBR: 88.3)
Keene, who registered a career-best for passing yardage, capped his afternoon with a 22-yard TD pass with 59 seconds to go to lift the Bulldogs to a 39-35 road victory over Purdue, their first road win over a Big Ten team since 2009.
