INDIANAPOLIS – Fresno State volleyball Head Coach Leisa Rosen claimed her first win in her career as the 'Dogs wrapped up the Butler Bulldog Brawl with a 3-1 victory over Kent State.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs dominated the court early, with a 25-14 win in the first set. Fresno State dropped the second set, 25-17 but bounced back in the third, outscoring Kent State 25-16. The 'Dogs and Golden Flashes kept it close in the fourth set, but a late surge put Fresno State on top, winning the set 25-19 to snag its first win of the season, 3-1.
NOTES
Addison Haluska led the 'Dogs in kill count with 18, followed by Grace Doyle and Ella Rud with 10 each.
The 'Dogs went up for 11 total blocks, with six from Kasey Purry who scored 10 points for Fresno State.
Brooke Cowie accounted for 92 percent of the Bulldogs' assists against Kent State with 44, in addition to 15 digs and three block assists.
